A 65-year-old St. Williams man is in hospital after being struck by lightning on Saturday.The man was working outside in a field at about 6:11 p.m. when he was struck.He was taken to local  hospital by ambulance and later air-lifted to a Hamilton area hospital for further treatment, Norfolk OPP said in a statement.The OPP is reminding anyone who works outdoors to take cover during a lightning storm. Police are also telling parents and caregivers of young children to not allow them to play outside in the warm rain during an electrical storm.Every year, six to 10 people in Canada are killed and another 150 to 160 are injured as a result of lightning strikes, Environment Canada says.In June 2018, a Courtland family and some friends were standing outside their home when lightning struck the property, knocking one woman unconscious.
